Homemade granola

Granola is delicious! But most granola's you find at the supermarket are unfortunately full of sugar and oil and therefore not as healthy as most people think. The best solution is to make your own batch of granola. It's really easy and you can deside for yourself what additional ingredients you use. In that way you're sure you're eating something healthy for breakfast the next time!

I made one batch with and one without nuts. If you're allergic to nuts (like my brother), you can find the recipe for the granola without nuts here.

INGREDIENTS (7-8 portions)

- 125gr oats
- 65gr honey
- 30gr melted coconut oil
- 25gr chopped almonds
- 25gr chopped hazelnuts
- 25gr chopped cashew nuts
- 2 tbsp coconut powder
- cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 160°C. Mix the oats, chopped nuts and coconut powder in a bowl.

Mix the honey and melted coconut oil with one teaspoon of hot water in a small bowl. Add this and some cinnamon to the dry ingredients and mix carefully.

Spread the mixture out evenly on a baking sheet or in an oven dish. Put it in the middle of the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes.

Let the granola cool in your turned off oven, with the door halfway opened.

Make sure to keep it in an airthight container if you want your granola to stay nice and crispy!
